A new Skyrim board game is coming soon. The company behind the adaptation is Modiphius Entertainment. They plan to launch a crowdfunding campaign later this year. The game will take place in Skyrim and will feature up to 4 players. Outside of that not much is known about the board game. Modiphius Entertainment made TES: Call to Arms, a tabletop RPG based on The Elder Scrolls Online. They had a strong working history with Bethesda. It was only a matter of time before they would announced a board game focusing on Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
TES: Call to Arms takes place during Skyrim’s civil war between the Stormcloaks and the Imperials troops. Players can exploring dungeons, complete quests or seek treasure. Up to 2 players can play. Players can go solo or play Co-op. The board game costs $125 including Stormcloaks and Imperial Troops starter sets. On Amazon without starter packs the board game costs $33. The board game is pricier than others, but it has received positive reception by critics. If you are a fan of the Elder Scrolls, I would recommend checking it out.
Bethesda quiet on Elder Scrolls 6
Skyrim was released in 2011 and has had multiple re-releases and remasters for current-gen. Skyrim still has an active community thanks to modding support. Bethesda is working on Elder Scrolls 6 for next-gen. They released a teaser trailer in 2018. Few details have been released to the public regarding the next Elder Scrolls. With Microsoft acquisition of Bethesda, it remains unclear whether the next game will be released on the PS5. Neither company has commented on the matter and hopefully we get some clarification at E3.
