What Is Goddess Materia?

Goddess Materia is a unique item in the final chapter of Crisis Core Reunion. Once you wander below Banora Village, you will encounter a gate called the Portal of Severance. The portal will demand you to gather the seven Goddess Materia items. The items are then placed on the altar in the Howling Fang area, which will open the giant door. You can find these items in chests found in ruins below Banora Village.

Goddess Materia Locations

The Goddess Materia are distributed in various locations in two major regions of the Banora Village, i.e., the Depths of Judgement and the Lake of Oblivion. Finding these goods would take a while, but you won’t encounter many enemies; most of these items are lying in prominent places. There will be a few enemies, but it is a side mission to eliminate them. You can skip it and focus on the main objective.

Depths Of Judgement

The Depths of Judgement is the first region you will enter once you are in the ruins of Banora Village. This location looks like a cave with lots of crystals lying around. Here, you can find four of the seven Goddess Materia.

Light Materia

You can easily find this first one once you enter the cave. After a few steps into the cave, you will see a chest lying on the ground on your right. Move towards the chest and open it to collect the Light Materia.

Heaven Materia

The second one is present pretty close to the first one. You will notice it as soon as you enter the cave, lying right behind the first chest. After collecting the Light Materia, move down the slope along the path, and you will see an ascending path on your left. Go there to find the Heaven Materia. 

Ground Materia

Following the path where you came from, you will find a tunnel to your left. Pass through the tunnel, and you will see the chest lying on the right side, just at the entrance of the other side of the tunnel. Open it to get the Ground Materia.

Star Materia

After getting the Ground Materia, go back into the tunnel. There will be a path going upwards on the left side at the end of the tunnel; go there and turn right. The chest containing the Star Materia will be in front of you a couple of steps away at the end of the ridge. Hence, the four Goddess Materia discovered in the Depths of Judgement will end with this one.

Lake Of Oblivion

For the other three Goddess Materia, turn back and enter a small tunnel on your right. It will lead to the Lake of Oblivion.

Life Materia

When you enter the Lake of Oblivion, the first chest containing the Light Materia will be on your right. Open it to claim the Light Materia.

Being Materia

The next item is in the opposite direction from the first one. Move to the left side of the entrance of the Lake of Oblivion, and you will see the chest for Being Materia on your right between the lily pads.

Sabbath Materia

As for the last item, go straight on the path toward the end wall of the cave. You will get the chest for the Sabbath Materia.
