More reports coming in from Pap Business suggest that both the PC and Next-Gen versions of the game are ready and they play well.
However, CDProjekt Red is currently working on the Current-Gen versions of the game, and making sure it runs seamlessly there as well.
CDProjekt Red’s conference call highlights
CDProjekt Red held a conference call right after the announcement was made. It was hosted by CEO Adam Kicinski, and several board members.
During the conference Kicinski clarified “The game for PC is ready and plays well on next-gen consoles and the company is finalizing the process concerning current gen consoles”.
The CEO seems confident that the game will certainly be ready for the December 10th release date. “November 19 is possible and was possible, having these three more weeks gives us a chance to fix this and that.” Kicinski said.
Adam Kicinski also hinted that “organizational changes” are in the works at the technical departments of the studio
“Too many things were put together at late stages.” Kicinski said.
It’s worth mentioning that the next-gen version of the game is similar to that of current-gen.
The true next-gen upgrade, that makes the most out of the new hardware is not expected until next year. It’s likely not the top priority at the studio currently.
The game’s delay came as a shock to most fans. The studio had already celebrated Cyberpunk 2077’s going gold earlier this month on October 5th.
Now you can pre-order Cyberpunk 2077. Check out the best deals for it here , or on Amazon at only $49.94 (varies depending on region).
