Diablo 4 Strongholds: All Locations With Images

Strongholds are the particular open dungeon-type areas in Diablo 4 that provide you with amazing rewards after completing a certain task or objective. The Demons or other Evil entities rule over the stronghold area, And players have to clear the place by turning down the corrupted forces. Then this place can be dominated by the people again and become a public space.

There are a number of strongholds that you come across in Diablo 4. When you are exploring the Sanctuary, a red-colored skull pops up, and you are notified that you are nearby the Stronghold.

Diablo 4 Strongholds Locations

In Diablo 4 Strongholds are located in five regions, and each region contains 3 Strongholds. The regions are:

• Fractured Peak
• Scosglen
• Dry Steppes
• Kehjistan
• Hawezar

Fractured Peak Strongholds

The Strongholds present in Fracture Peaks Region are Malnok, Nostrava, and Kor Pragan.

1. Nostrava Stronghold:

   • Located west of Kyovashad or north of Nevsek.
   • Accessible at level 18.
   • Objective: Defeat insane villagers and wreck Demonic Effigies (total of 5) found in houses. Return to the Chapel where three demons will appear, and light the Wanderer’s Shrine to complete the objective.

2. Malnok Stronghold:

   • Situated east of Kyovashad.
   • Controlled by the Ice Clan, who have turned locals into ice statues.
   • Task: Defeat Ice Clan Stormcallers and then proceed to the center to defeat remaining enemies. The final foe is Frosthorn, whose defeat allows lighting the Wanderer’s Shrine and completing the mission.

3. Kor Pragan Stronghold:

   • Located in the northern area of Fractured Peak.
   • Populated by vampires and ghouls.
   • Objective: Destroy orbs to purify the area. The main boss is unleashed afterward, and defeating him concludes the quest.

Scosglen Strongholds

The Strongholds in the Scosglen region are Moordaine, Hope’s Light, and Tur Dulra.

1. Tur Dulra Stronghold:

   • Located on the western side of the region.
   • Objective: Free three druid spirits imprisoned by evil forces. Upon freeing them, a boss enemy will be summoned, and defeating it concludes the objective.

2. Hope’s Light Stronghold:

   • Situated on the northern edge of Scosglen, particularly on the Peninsula.
   • Tasks: Navigate inside the lighthouse and locate the missing Winch to reach the top. Confront the enemy boss at the top, defeat it, and ignite the lamp to complete the stronghold.

3. Moordaine Lodge Stronghold:

   • Found on the eastern side of the region.
   • Objective: Investigate the lodge to uncover information about missing hunters. Encounter three bodies during the investigation, which triggers the appearance of the boss enemy, Fionnir. Defeat Fionnir across three phases to obtain rewards and conclude the stronghold.

Dry Steppes Strongholds

The Strongholds this region includes are the Ruins of Qara-Yisu, the Temple of Rot, and The Onyx Watch Tower.

1. Ruins of Qara-Yisu:

   • Located in the southeastern area.
   • Objective: Explore and uncover past incidents, destroy three Infernal Spires, and defeat the boss within the ruins to clear the stronghold.

2. Temple of Rot:

   • Situated in the southwestern part.
   • Task: Eliminate Cannibal Champions in the Garden, Courtyard, and Temple areas. Proceed to the den to confront the boss enemy for victory over the stronghold.

3. The Onyx Watchtower:

   • Positioned in the center of the region, southeast of Ked Bardu.
   • Objective: Eliminate bandits encountered en route to the watchtower. Confront Captain Ezmin and other enemies at the watchtower to clear the stronghold, earning rewards such as a waypoint, dungeon access, Onyx hold, merchants, and quests.

Hawezar Strongholds

In this region, we have: Crusader’s Monument, Eriman’s Pyre, and Vyersez

1. Crusader’s Monument:

   • Located north of Zarbinzet.
   • Objective: Defeat undead enemies around the monument, dig out the Grave robber’s corpse, retrieve Crusader skulls, and burn them in the Ritual Brazier. Three Crusader Champions will appear, and defeating them will complete the task.

2. Eriman’s Pyre:

   • Positioned in the northern part of Hawezar.
   • Task: Extinguish fires burning inside the village by retrieving remains of villagers. Free souls by putting out bodies on the Pyre. Communicate with the ghost of Fallen Overseer to learn about him. Summon the spirit of Duz’Agur by extinguishing fires, defeat the boss, and free souls to complete the stronghold.

3. Vyersez:

   • Located in the center of the marshy area.
   • Objective: Demolish Serpent’s Eyes to open the door, encounter snakes, and defeat the boss enemy, Dianthus, to complete the mission.

Kehjistan Strongholds

The Kehjistan Strongholds can be pretty challenging, and these are Alcarnus, Altar of Ruin, and Omath’s Redoubt.

1. Alcarnus:

   • Located in the region’s middle from Sanctuary.
   • Objective: Traverse deep into the area to locate narcotic masses scattered at different locations. Enter the Witch’s lair to confront Rashta, the mad surgeon, after destroying all the masses.

2. Altar of Ruin:

   • Positioned in the northwestern part.
   • Task: Attain Keystones by defeating Cultists to unlock the Ritual Chamber. Proceed to the final boss encounter after unlocking the chamber.

3. Omath’s Redoubt:

   • Found in the southern area.
   • Objective: Investigate the area to understand the cause of destruction. Search for four slain locals and interact with them. Examine the ceremonial staff and engage in combat with High Priestess Hadar to complete the stronghold.

Rewards

The stronghold is not just about clearing the space, but you also get a variety of reward points and experience. Furthermore, it results in the unlock of waypoints, Dungeons, and quests. And sometimes, these strongholds lead to new places, vendors, or zones.
