Genshin Impact Grosses $100 Million in First Fortnight

There were early signs before the release of Genshin Impact which indicated this game was destined for greatness. Be it the millions of pre-registrations, the promise from developer miHoYo of a seamless cross-play and cross-save experience or the reportedly high production values. However, even with all these positive signs, it is very plausible that nobody expected the game to gross over $100 million within the first two weeks after its release. Genshin Impacts opening fortnight is one of the best openings ever for a free-to-play game and is a record for such a game coming from a Chinese developer.

The game is performing extremely well with huge download figures reported on all the platforms. In fact, the game would reach a whopping seventeen million downloads in just four days after release according to mobile data analyst site App Annie.

The Critical response has also been great with respectable scores on all platforms, we tested the cross-play and cross-save features ourselves and can personally confirm that it is incredibly well implemented and makes the transition from playing on your PC to your smartphone or tablet a seamless and truly enjoyable experience.

We predict that the game is going to reach new milestones and records especially with the promise of strong support and additional features by a newly-shared development map by its developer miHoYo
