Google Stadia Will Enable Unique Sharable Scenarios For Hitman 3
In a blog post on the Stadia website; the company has revealed that Stadia as a platform will provide a unique feature for Hitman 3. The game will feature an option called State Share, which will enable players to create unique game states within the game and share them with friends.
A game state, product manager Catherine Hsiao tells, is a “playable slice of the game itself”. State Share gives players the opportunity to share a gameplay link, which when opened, drops the person who opened it into the scenario. Developers seem to be able to use the feature how they see fit. For the team at IO Interactive, game states will include:
. Mission starting location within the beginning of the level
. Mission objectives
. Player loadout (including weapon, gear, and clothing)
. Mission difficulty
Players will be able to use weapons and items they haven’t unlocked yet, without affecting their own progress. It’s unclear exactly how varied these game states will be, but players will be able to save a game state “within any campaign or custom mission, during the missions themselves or at the mission complete screen.” It seems the feature will revolve around the game’s main missions for now, but may be implemented to a more creative effect during the game’s lifespan.
