How To Start Well Well Well Quest
In order to unlock the side quest named “Well Well Well,” players must progress in-game to the point they can freely wander around outside the Hogwarts walls. Not all quests exist within Hogwarts as there are multiple unexplored locations outside Hogwarts and even beyond Hogsmeade. One of these locations holds the Well Well Well side quest so get your map ready and follow the steps below to start the side quest for some treasure hunting beyond the walls.
- Step 1: Travel to Aranshire located in the South Hogwarts Region on the East side where you are told to investigate a well.
- Step 2: From Aranshire, make your way to the southeastern side and follow the path.
- Step 3: A talking well will show up with a lady’s voice coming from it, interact with it.
- Step 4: The talking well complains about a piece of parchment tossed into it and gives the parchment to you. This piece of parchment is actually a location to some hidden chest, so you finally gain a Treasure Map, and your quest “Well Well Well” starts.
You can travel to Aranshire quite early and start the Well Well Well quest; however, the Treasure Chest location on the map can take longer to unlock so the quest can take longer to complete. Although, if you start the quest after quite some progress, the second part of the quest will mostly be unlocked too.
Treasure Chest Location
The second part of the quest needs some hunting for a Treasure Chest lying somewhere on the map. However, the treasure map you obtain from the well as a hint is not much instructional which might lead you to get quite puzzled. If you can not figure out the treasure map and require some assistance, here is the Treasure Chest location in the Well Well Well quest in Hogwarts Legacy.
On the very bottom or southern area of the World Map, you can see a region called the “Feldcroft Region.” And in this region resides a Hamlet “Irondale” where you need to travel. Make sure to use Floo Flame for traveling directly to Irondale. Although, if you haven’t unlocked it then keep your flying broom ready as the place exists pretty far from the Hogwarts grounds.
Once you are there, travel to the Southwest side of the map where you can see a Ruins Castle with a small bridge in front of it. The bridge leads to a small area. Go to that small area and you will notice a tree standing in the middle. If your character makes a statement about the tree being strange, go to it.
Use the Levioso spell on the tree once it glows and the tree will lift up. When the tree is in the air, you can see a treasure attached to it. You will collect the chest reward and the Hogwarts Legacy quest “Well Well Well” will come to an end.
Well Well Well Quest Reward
Despite being a time-consuming side quest, “Well Well Well” only adds a “Treasure Seeker’s Bicorne Hat” to your cosmetic collection with no attributes to it. However, that does not make the quest useless in any way. If you like collecting wearables or plan on completing each side quest, the quest is worth completing as it will add to your achievement as well.
Final Remarks
Hogwarts Legacy is filled with engaging classes and an interesting storyline along with multiple quests. In addition, a lot of these quests exist outside of Hogwarts, and one of the side quests called “Well Well Well” includes an actual talking well, and might take up a considerate amount of time to complete.
Interact with the well and get yourself a map to Treasure Chest hidden somewhere. Get your flying broom and wand ready to start your Treasure hunt journey in the magical world of Hogwarts.
