No other Winter Wonderland content has been released yet. But players can expect to see the return of festive-themed game modes such as Snowball Fight and the classic Yeti Hunter.

Snowball Fight

Snowball fight is a 6v6 game mode that takes place exclusively on the Ecopoint: Antarctica map. Which changes Mei’s primary fire to have only one ammo in the form of a snowball projectile. The snowball is one-shot kill but once the snowball is fired players must find piles of snow to recharge.

Yeti Hunter

Yeti Hunter is a 5v1 between a team of Mei’s – the Yeti Hunters – and 1 Winston the Yeti. Yeti hunters must eliminate the Yeti before it collects 4 meats which will activate Primal Rage. The yeti hunters will need to hide from the Yeti once this happens.

The Yeti starts with 5000 health, however, the Yeti Hunters have a few tricks up their sleeves. As Yeti Hunters will be able to set Junkrat traps strategically to trap the Yeti.

Overwatch 2 News Maybe Coming Soon

Overwatch fans can expect to hear more news on Overwatch 2 early next year on February 19th at Blizzconline, an online adaption of Blizzcon. Where Blizzard showcase updates and information on projects they are working on.

Overwatch 2 will introduce new game modes for both PVP and PVE. Which will include story missions and a progression system where players can level up their heroes and customize their abilities. However, PVE hero progression does not carry over to PVP.

At the moment we have little information on how many new heroes will be introduced into Overwatch 2. Sojourn has been the only new hero we have seen however, we still don’t know what the hero’s abilities could be.

Jeff Kaplan, Game Director of Overwatch has explained that Overwatch 2 will follow a different monetization model. Furthermore, Jeff Kaplan has considered the idea of implementing a battle pass system. Players will be happy to find out that cosmetics unlocked in Overwatch will carry over to the sequel.
