Oddworld: Soulstorm Looks Like an Ideal Sequel | State of Play
During this State of Play, Oddworld: Soulstorm has gotten a release date and a we get a lot more information about the game itself. There are some wild, fun and interesting features involved in this new gameplay reveal, including the fact that you will be able to feel Abe’s heartbeat in stressful situations thanks to the new PS5 controller.
We’re told that Oddworld: Soulstorm will include 2.9D platforming, which sounds cool but isn’t really explained in enough detail to get us excited. The gameplay certainly does look fun, in all its side scrolling glory.
What is exciting is that we are playing as our sweet surprise hero Abe once more, continuing on his rebellious and ultimately thought-provoking journey. You’ll have over 1000 friends that you won’t only save but team up with in a variety of cool new ways in order to survive in a world that is working very much against you. You’ll also be scavenging, looting, and crafting.
And don’t worry, you’ll still get to possess enemies to do things like exploring places you couldn’t reach otherwise.
Oddworld: Soulstorm looks like another emotional story. Just look at those giant eyes of Abe’s and tell me our hero isn’t going to have a few touching moments.
Get ready to rally the troops! Oddworld: Soulstorm is coming to Playstation April 6th.
