Headless Statue Puzzle
You will see a headless statue when you enter the grand hall in chapter 9 of the game. On the right of the statue is a portrayal of the Chimera animal with its head intact. It shows that the chimera has three heads in gold which are a goat, a lion, and a snake. To complete this puzzle, you must locate the three heads needed to complete the chimera. All the heads will be located in different locations near the grand hall area.
Each would throw different challenges you need to pass to get the head. You will solve the puzzle if you get all the heads, bring them back to the chimera, and put them in their proper place. This is also a key puzzle in the game, as it is needed to progress through your main quest line. Before solving the puzzle, one more thing to do is to be stocked up with supplies and enough ammo to fight challenging enemies.
To get to the goat head, you must go from the grand hall to the gallery. It is on the 2nd floor, and the map is on the bottom side of the grand hall. Now you need to go to the end of the gallery where you can see the statue with the goat head. But before you reach the statue, a cutscene would play out, and the metal helmet cultist would pull a lever to bring the bridge leading to the statue down.
Now on the balcony to your right would be the red hooded cultist with the staff. You must take care of him first, as he can be troublesome. If he makes the screeching sound, it will mess with your vision, and it would also cause all the cultist zombies to have their heads explode. Their Plaga would grow out of their heads, making them more dangerous and annoying to beat. So to take care of the hooded staff cultist, it’s best to have some heavy grenades that you can chuck to the balcony to kill him first.
If you do not have any explosives, you can also make your way to the balcony by climbing to the floor above and fighting the hooded cultist head-on with a shotgun. Having flash grenades can be very helpful if he exposes other enemies’ Plaga before you can reach him. Flash grenades are overpowered against exposed Plaga, as only one will remove a plaga-exposed enemy.
After clearing all the enemies in the gallery, make your way to the gallery and pull the lever back to bring the bridge back up. You can return to the original way to the statue to get the goat head. You can also get a yellow diamond from the treasure box beneath the bridge.
