That was one way to unlock banners, and you can also avail them by using the Shell-Out Machine and increasing the levels of your Catalog. Catalogs can be available to you once you reach level 4.
They offer special rewards to players that progress in the game, and as each level increases, the player unlocks exciting rewards. From those rewards, you can get your hands on a new set of titles, banners, and even Splashtags!
The level cap on these Catalogs is 1o0, and you cannot go beyond that until the developers update the game with new features!
A friendly reminder that Catalogs are updated, refreshed, and changed every three months to offer more exciting and jaw-dropping rewards, so be sure to collect them before the updates!
A quick tip to increase your catalog levels is winning Turf Wars and clearing Salmon Runs. Although raising your level by clearing Salmon Runs is pretty unreliable, you can win many Catalog points if you win the first battle you engage in Ranked Battles, AKA Turf Wars!
You can get Banners at different catalog levels. For instance, you get a banner at level 13 and level 26 of the Catalog.
