Starfield: All Landmarks [Earth, Apollo, & Mars]

In Starfield, you will discover some of the most iconic landmarks on planet Earth. These landmarks showcase Starfield’s futuristic and awe-inspiring world, offering unique experiences. There are a total of 12 landmarks in Starfield. This guide will help you explore all the 12 landmarks. 

The Shard – London Landmark

The Shard, Western Europe’s tallest skyscraper (310 meters), is one of Starfield’s easiest landmarks to unlock. Its glass-clad pyramidal design offers panoramic views of the city. To unlock it, all you need to do is to read a copy of “Oliver Twist,”

Which can be found almost everywhere and purchased from Sinclair Books in Akila City. This will grant you access to the London landing site, where you will discover the remnants of The Shard standing alone in the desert of the 24th century.

You will also stumble upon the London snow globe, which is placed on the rock right by the side of the base of the famous tower.

Egyptian Pyramids – Cairo Landmark

These Pyramids represent the ancient wonders of Cairo and carry the rich history of Earth. To unlock this landmark, you will need to purchase the book “The Ancient Civilization of Egypt”  from Sinclair’s Books in Akila City.

Once you get your hands on that book, a new activity will appear on your mission list. After that, you will land on Earth through the Cairo landing site. Like the London snow globe, a similar one for Cairo is waiting for you near one of the two pyramids.

These pyramids closely resemble their real-world counterparts, serving as a powerful testament to Earth’s enduring legacy.

Empire State Building – New York Landmark

The Empire State Building in Starfield is truly a remarkable landmark. It is a towering tribute to human architectural achievements in a transformed world. To unlock this landmark, players must find the book titled “Our Lost Heritage.” 

The easiest way to get this book is by heading to President Abello’s office in the MAST Tower of New Atlantis by elevator. You will find the book on the President’s desk as it is easy to access. Once you get the book, the New York landmark landing site will emerge on your Earth map.

You can’t explore the Empire State Building itself, but you can discover the New York snow globe on one of the rocks nearby. The Empire State Building in Starfield stands firm in the middle of ruins that symbolize Earth’s past and the incredible transformation that has taken place. 

Gateway Arch – St. Louis Landmark

  The Gateway Arch is one of the iconic landmarks on Earth that proudly stands tall and firm in the middle of the transformed world, showing off the strength of historic structures. To unlock it, you have to find a book called “The Price of Destiny” in Benjamin Bayu’s penthouse.

Once you read the book on Bayu’s desk, the Saint Louis landmark landing site will pop up on your Earth Map.

You can explore the Gateway Arch and find the Saint Louis snow globe beneath it. It’s a way to connect with Earth’s past in the vast Starfield universe. St.Louis snow globe is right there, perched on a rock under the arch.

Burj Khalifa – Dubai Landmark

The Burj Khalifa is one of the tallest landmarks on the Earth and symbolizes Earth’s architectural marvel. To unlock it in the game, you must find a unique book titled “Race to Heavens.”

The luxury Cruiser, the Siren of the Stars, is indeed the place where you can find the book “Race to Heaven ” during the “Breaking the Bank” mission from Crimson Fleet Faction. 

This quest becomes accessible as soon as you complete the quests like,

 “Deep Cover,” “Rook Meeks King” and “Echoes of the Past.”One thing to remember here is that once you complete the mission related to the cruiser, you will be unable to locate it again afterward you leave.

The Siren of the Stars is located in Aranae 4. They will find the Dubai snow globe sitting on a rock on the far side of the structure.

International Commerce Center – Hong Kong Landmark

The International Commerce Center in Hong Kong is one of those landmarks that are not highly recognized, but it’s still a hidden gem. To find it, you will need to get your hands on “Maurice Lyon’s Journal”.

Look for it in the museum area, specifically on a set of metal shelves next to a staircase that is tucked away in a museum on Titan, one of Saturn’s moons. Just like the Shanghai Tower, the International Commerce Center bears the marks of battles fought,

Giving it a unique and captivating appearance. The Hong Kong snow globe is placed on the rock near the ruin of the building.

Abeno Harukas – Osaka, Japan Landmark

The Abeno Harukas is a mega skyscraper that has stood the test of time, surviving into the 24th century. It’s like a symbol of Earth’s past representing a bygone era. To unlock its secrets, you have to track down the diary of Kyosuke Nagata.

The single way to obtain the key is to get yourself captured in the UC colony and complete the Deep cover mission. Once you get the Key, make your way to the authority center near Delgado’s compartment, where you can get the diary right next to Delgado’s bed.

Abeno Harukas is a historical building somewhat buried in the desert, but you can still find a snow globe for Osaka nearby.

Shanghai Tower – Shanghai, China Landmark

The Shanghai Tower is another amazing landmark. This tower represents solitude amidst the city’s hustle and bustle. Even in the vastness of Starfield, the Shanghai Tower remains a true marvel. Now, to find the landing site,

You have to get your hands on a book called “Essentials of Modern Macroeconomics.” The easiest way is to dock with an unidentified ship orbiting around Porimma II in the Porimma system, head to the residential level, and look for a classroom.

There, you will find the book on a table. The snow globe is near the base of the tower.

US Bank Tower – Los Angeles Landmark

The Los Angeles landmark is another important landmark in Starfield. All you need to do is to snag a copy of the Hope Family Tree. You can find it on Ron Hope’s desk in Hopetown. Its location lies on the planet Polvo in the Valo system, right by Alpha Centauri.

During the “Where Hope is Built” faction quest, visit Ron’s office and grab the book. When you read it, you unlock the “Visit the Los Angeles Landmark on Earth” activity, and it puts a new landing site on your map.

Fast travel to this new location, and you will find the US Bank Tower with the Los Angeles snow globe near the base of the building. 

NASA Launch Tower – Cape Canaveral Landmark

As you continue on your adventure, you will get the chance to explore the NASA Launch Tower. It may not be considered a traditional landmark or landing site, but it’s a fascinating part of the quest where you will discover humanity’s early steps in space exploration. 

The tower becomes accessible as you progress through the mission, delving deeper into the history of Earth’s space programs. The quest starts with exploring Earth’s moon, where you will find evidence that leads you to NASA on Earth.

This Unearthed mission is to explore Nova Galactic Research station. Here’s an interesting tidbit: unlike other snow globes, the NASA snow globe is located on the upper levels of the Launch Tower.

Opportunity Mars Rover – Mars Landmark

The Opportunity Mars Rover in Starfield is a representation of real-world space exploration. It is situated on Mars, just like the actual rover, where it diligently collected valuable data for NASA over a remarkable period of 14 years. 

To discover the Opportunity Mars Rover and its associated snow globe, you need to make your way to the NASA Launch Tower. This tower showcases the incredible MER (Mars Exploration Rover) Program, which the Opportunity Rover was part of.

Apollo 11 – Moon Landmark

In Starfield, the Apollo 11 Lunar mission is a massive milestone, representing the epic triumph of humans touching down on the moon. To complete the Apollo Lander mission on Luna, you will need to get the Sir Livingstone’s second journal on the lodge in New Atlantis.

Once you find it, you will discover the remains of the Apollo Lander, having the base and the iconic American Flag. There’s a snow globe here too.
