Locating The Lanayru Mine
Finding Unioj Lightroot
Head towards Mercay Island located in Lanayru Wetlands, and proceed towards the ditch near you, known as Lanayru Wetlands Chasm. Drop down and glide your way till you reach the surface. You must use items to provide light such as Brightbloom seed to see in the dark.
After climbing some hills, you will reach Uasnoj Lightroot. Activate the lightroot which will provide light around the area to increase your visibility. Move North from this lightroot, following the trials of statues on your sides.
Eventually, you must reach the depths under the Zora’s Domain mountains, where you will come across another Lightroot known as Unioj. Another alternative and quicker route is via the South Akkala Plains Chasm located in the South Akkala Plains.
You can navigate to the Unioj Lightroom by jumping through the Chasm.
Navigating To The Abandoned Lanayru Mine
From the Unioj Lightroot, move northeast and keep following the statues. Locate the quest marker on the minimap and climb the hills near you. Cross the area towards the left side until you reach the platform. You must use Brightbloom seeds to brighten the pathway and keep moving forward.
You will find a statue along this route. Turn right and down in the cave to continue finding the Lanayru Mine location. You can either fight or ignore the enemies here who are waiting for you. Pass the next statue and glide down to reach the mine.
Fighting Master Kohga
To progress further in the game, you must defeat Master Kohga in this battle. There will be phases of the fight that you will counter while battling him.
In the first phase, you will find him on his boat in the water. He will be accompanied by two long-range arrow fighters who are members of the Yiga Clan. However, they are not difficult to counter. You must dodge their arrows and strike back to knock them out.
Next, you must take a boat which can be found near the docks, and make your way to the boss. You have to strike him with an arrow and jump on his boat, consistently attacking him. After some hits, he will vanish and relocate to a new boat nearby with two members accompanying him.
You must repeat the same process until he disappears. Now you will find him shielded inside a cube to defend himself, which is the second phase. He will disappear and reappear on boats, throwing large boulders at you.
You can either dodge them and then hit an arrow and consistently hit him. Alternatively, you can use your recall ability to throw these boulders back at him.
Keep repeating the process until you finally defeat him. He will eventually escape and, you will receive a Treasure chest that contains a Huge Crystallized Charge. This will be the end of your journey in the Abandoned Lanayru Mine.
That is all you need to know on locating the Abandoned Lanayru Mine and the quest related to Master Kohga. Remember to carry Brightbloom seeds since they will be used to help you in the Mine. Using the Recall ability against Master Kohga will also increase your chances of winning the fight.
