UPDATE: The game is now confirmed to be launching this year on Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series S & X, and PS5. See the trailer here, and gameplay footage here.
In light of some interesting Twitter conversations, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 will likely be launching on the Nintendo Switch. The prediction comes following a conversation that took place last night between official Tony Hawk, Activision, Nintendo of America, and Crash Bandicoot Twitter accounts.
Initially, Tony Hawk expressed jealousy having heard that Crash Bandicoot 4 was coming to new systems (the Switch). He notified the official Crash Bandicoot Twitter account, asking if he could help hook up THPS 1+2 with the same deal.
The Crash Bandicoot account promptly replied in character, with “Crash” stating he’d see what he could do, bringing the Tweet to the attention of Activision.
Nintendo then jumped in showing their support for the idea, and Activision replied with an eyes emoji.
A not-so-subtle plea
The game originally launched as a merging of the two original Tony Hawk Pro Skater titles into one bundle. It was made available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC at the time.
With all groups necesary to make this happen showing interest – in what appears to be an effort to create hype for an announcement – it seems very likely this will be happening.
