If you’ve been following the events at CES, then you’ll have just seen Viewsonic showcase two new gaming monitors that not only look the part but have fantastic hardware under the hood to provide you with a crisp picture when you sit down for your next gaming session. This reveal includes two high refresh rate monitors, with one being a 32 inch, 144HZ 4K model. Whereas the other is a 240HZ, 27 inch, 1440p model.
We all love upgrading our gaming setup to the new and improved standard. So with these to pick from we really are spoiled for choice. Let’s have a look at what is on offer with each gaming monitor.
Viewsonic Elite XG320U
We begin with the bigger model first of all. This 32″ panel is a real beauty, running at 144Hz, coming with HDMI 2.1 support and also coming with DisplayHDR 600 certification.
However, if you are in the market for an even higher-end version of this monitor, there is an option available. The sister monitor to this one offers display HDR1000 certification and also offers a much superior peak brightness setting of 1400cd/m2. Both are IPS panels.
If you choose this option, you will sacrifice the HDMI 2.1 support. So if you are a console gamer that wants to mix and match your setups, this might not be the ideal choice. This monitor is set to drop in the Summer of 2021.
Viewsonic Elite XG271QG
Then we have the Viewsonic Elite XG271QG. This monitor will have a smaller screen but a far superior refresh rate to the monitor above. This 1440p monitor comes complete with Nvidia G-sync support and an Nvidia reflex analyser. Meaning that players will be able to analyse screen latency with precision, allow you to adapt your setup for optimal performance.
This monitor will have displayHDR 400 certification, HDMI 2.0 support and should be available in April this year. So if this all sounds good and you want one for yourself, be sure to nab one when they go on sale.
We are still waiting to hear the price tag for each monitor at the time of writing. However, if we were to wager a guess, we would say that the XG320U will set you back about $800. Whereas the XG271QG is likely to be closer to double that figure.
